What a great service we had yesterday. We started out with “Wonderful Words of Life”. Then Pastor Harmon sang “Til the Storm Passes By”. You cant get any better than that. We finished out with “Tell me the Story of Jesus” and “an ensemble special of “Just a little talk with Jesus”.
Pastor Charley then gave a wonderful message on the prodigal son. Thanks to all who volunteered in all areas. You all make the services possible.
We had Michelle’s baby shower Saturday and she got some wonderful gifts. We are so looking forward to that new baby boy.
Remember, we love to hear from you. Check back everyday for new posts and to read the comments of others.
Today, our family will be going over to Ella and Clendal Hill’s house to eat “Ramps” for the first time. Tomorrow I’ll let you know what we thought about them.
I hope you all have a wonderful week. Say a prayer for us and the church as we prepare for this next week. Pray that God will prepare the hearts of those that will be attending that service. We love you all.
Hello Ladies,
I wanted to let you know that this sunday in SS we will be discussing the topic “pain”. The different types of pain and the fact that as Christians we can expect to experience pain at some point in our lives. I hope you will be thinking about this subject this week and be ready to comment.
Thank you all for your faithfulness to come to class and to read this blog. I love hearing from you throughout the week. I pray you are having a good week. Don’t forget to be praying for the church services this Sunday.
By the way I corrected Charley’s blog address but in case you did not see it, it is Chasrice.com.
Also, if you are interested, Nathan’s blog is nathanrice.org.
Hello everyone! I wanted you to know that the pictures from the Easter party are at flickr.com.
Just click on the church photos link in the column on the right. Hope everyone has a great day.
Enjoy!

Pastor Harmon preached a great message Sunday and he and Kenny Hall sang “Where could I go but to the Lord”. We are so blessed to have Pastor Harmon and the wisdom he brings to our church.

Just wanted to let everyone know we will be home about noon Friday. We are looking forward to getting back home.
I will have the SS notes ready sometime late Friday. Look over them and be thinking on this subject. I also hope to get the pictures from the Easter Egg Hunt posted sometime today too.
Hope you all have had a great week. Don’t forget to pray for the service Sunday.
Thank you all for your input on our blog this week. I feel like I stayed in touch with you even though I was 5 hours away. Keep the comments coming. I love hearing from you.
Be sure to go over www.chasrice.com and read Pastor Charley’s Blog if you get a chance.
This Sunday in Sunday School the ladies class will be looking at the subject of “confrontationâ€. How and when do we confront. Be thinking about this subject in the next few days. I want to hear your ideas on this. I will try to have the notes here by Friday or Saturday. Remember to call those you think might be interested in coming to our class and give them a special invitation.
A reminder to those of you who do the music, we will have a practice Friday night at 7:00 so warm up those voices. Thank you to all of you who give hours every week to the music. You have all been so great.
We will continue to pray for all those affected by the shooting a few days ago. This is just too close to home. Especially close to those like Jeanne who have a child away at college.
We are looking forward to another great Sunday. Don’t forget to be praying now that God will work in our service.
I got up early one morning and rushed into the day;
I had so much to accomplish that I did not have time to pray.
Problems just tumbled about me, and heavier came each task.
“Why doesn’t God help me?†I wondered. He answered, “You didn’t ask.â€
I wanted to see joy and beauty, but the day toiled on, gray and bleak;
I wondered why God didn’t show me. He said, “But you didn’t seek.â€
I tried to come into God’s presence; I used all my keys at the lock.
God gently and lovingly chided, “My child, you didn’t knock.â€
I woke up early this morning, and paused before entering the day;
I had so much to accomplish, that I had to take time to pray.

I know it’s only Tuesday, but don’t forget in to start praying for our service Sunday. Ask God to prepare the hearts of those who will be there, including our own. I think we would be amazed at what God can do if we only ask.

Honestly, I have never seen anything like this. I told Julia on the way to school this morning that this is another first for us. The day she goes back to school after spring break, the snow is falling so thick we can hardly believe it. Then there is the “white Easterâ€.
What a great service we had yesterday. No, it was not perfect. But the Spirit of God was so sweet in that service. And a big thank you to Amy who did an absolutly beautiful job on that song. It was wonderful to see all the new faces. I’m sure we will continue to see new faces as long as we remember that ‘our mission is fishinâ€. Hopefully, this is the last snow we will see this spring. I’m ready for the warm weather.
Please pray for us as we travel this week and as we get our house ready to sell again. Also pray that it sells quickly. I would love for that to be one less thing for us to have to be concerned about. Our real estate lady just called as I am writing this and said the house doesn’t look too bad. So maybe we won’t have a lot of work to do.
Remember, we want to hear from you. I will be keeping up with you through this blog this week so keep in touch. Have a wonderful day.
Hello Ladies,
I wanted you all to know I appreciate your words of wisdom this morning. Even though we did not get to our lesson, we all got a lesson and encouragement from each other.
For those of you who missed it, we discussed how we all have those sins that we struggle with every day. For some of us these sins are hidden from those around us and for that reason we tend to think we are better than that person that struggles with a very public sin. Not true. To God, sin is sin. We are all extremely sinful beings. If you examine yourself and still feel like you’re a pretty good Joe, ask God to show you the areas in your life that need improvement. He will do it.
The main point I want to make is that we all need to admit that we have major faults and be there for each other when we need help getting the victory over our sin. The last thing we need is some one pointing fingers at us. We need someone who will love us no matter what.
Remember, we love your input. Leave a comment. Anyone is welcome.
Even if you have a different subject you want to discuss.
Thanks ladies. You are a great group of ladies and I feel honored to know each one of you.
