Sunday, March 30

Filed under: Sunday Review — Phyllis Rice @ 4:52 pm

We were again honored yesterday to have Pastor Harmon bring the Sunday morning message. He also was able to sing “Wayfaring Stranger”. His singing is always a blessing to us.
We began our service with a hymn and then sang “Lord be Glorified”. Jeanne and Erin sang for us for the first time too and they did a beautiful job.

Ladies don’t forget we will practice a new song tonight that we will sing on April 20.

Ladies conference on April 12.

Prayer

Filed under: Uncategorized — brendabeckner @ 11:37 am

Hello everyone, I hope you all are having a great day.  Wanted to remind everyone to pray for our Pastor and his family as they are traveling.  Let’s pray that God brings them home safely.  Let’s also be praying for our service on Sunday.  It is very important that we all pray through the week for Charley as he brings us God’s Word.   Charley and Phyllis puts so much time into the Sunday service so that it will be the best it can be so let’s lift them up by praying every day for them.  Charley’s messages bless us so much.  I am still meditating on Sunday’s service.  It was absolutely beautiful as well as thought provoking.       I hope everyone has a great day and rest of the week.

Women Fully Armored “Free women’s conference”

Filed under: Uncategorized — brendabeckner @ 9:56 am

Good morning to everyone.

Every Sunday morning, I have been announcing a women’s conference sponsored by Deliverance Temple in Brushfork.  Ann Neice tells me today that all flyers are out to over 300 area churches.  So I wanted to get the info out there again so that you can mark your calenders.

Saturday April 12th 10:00am to 2:00pm. Lunch is being provided.   Our ladies will leave Mt. Jackson at 9:00am.  Phyllis has been kind enough to volunteer to drive.  Thank you Phyllis.  Events include Praise and worship, Children and teen groups performing, and great speakers to provide Armor for our daily walk.  Speakers include Margaret Kirby, Pam Mathena and Linda Shinault.  All day fun with give away goodies and fellowship with our community ladies.  Sorry men.  Registration is appreciated but not required.  Call 304-327-7235.  Guess what?  It is free.  PLEASE come out and fellowship with us.  God will be pleased for our efforts.

Elaboration

Filed under: Uncategorized — brendabeckner @ 3:40 pm

Let me elaborate on yesterday’s Blog.  I too have not been able to quit thinking about our service on Sunday.  There were so many great things about the day.  First of all, I was once again humbled by what Jesus has done for me.  Jesus has been so good to me, as Chris Tomlin sings, How can I keep from singing Your praise.  His love is so amazing to me.  He truly makes my heart sing.

It was great to see so many people, but let me say it was great to also see Pam and Angie. I have missed them.

I hope everyone’s week is blessed.

Easter Sunday, March 23

Filed under: Sunday Review — Phyllis Rice @ 9:41 pm

I literally have not been able to get mind off how wonderful the service was today. I wasn’t so sure when I walked out the door this morning and there was snow in my car. I sure it kept some away but it was certainly their loss if it did.
It was thrilling to watch 5 people be baptized after asking the Lord to save them. I pray that they will go on to do great things for God. The Easter communion was very touching and just a wonderful reminder of the what our Lord did for us. Both the communion and the baptism and the communion took place in the early service.
Our second service started out with “Christ Arose” and “Lord I Lift Your Name on High”. Then Julia sang “I Know My Redeemer Lives” with a little help from Brenda, Donna, Drema, Ronnie, and Greg. Then my ladies group sang beautifully “The Next Time He Comes”. And by the way, you ladies did better than you have ever done in practice. Pastor Harmon sang “Were You There?” and Kenny sang “Sometimes I just want to praise Him”. Them Brenda blew us all away with “The Judgement”. There was no doubt that the Holy Spirit was with us in this entire service.
We had a great message and very powerful video clip. Julia closed the service with “Remember Me”.
I did take pictures and they are posted already. Can you believe it?

Have a Great Day

Filed under: Uncategorized — brendabeckner @ 10:51 am

I hope everyone has a great, Blessed day.  Happy Easter to everyone.  We had ladies practice las night and it was great.  We ladies are having a wonderful time together, even though we are only there less than one hour.

Don’t forget to mark your calenders for the women’s conference at Deliverance Temple on Saturday April 12th, 10-2.  Lunch will be provided.  It will be great day of fellowship and there will probably be many ladies who don’t know Christ.  Maybe god may allow them to cross our paths and be able to share the Gospel with them.  I know of several people who are inviting some friends who are not Christians.  WOW, what a responsibility.

The Extraordinary Women’s conference is also one that I go to every year and have for about 6 years. It is in September. Phyllis, Nancy and I will be going again and if anyone else would like to go I would be glad to give them info on how to get a ticket.

Have a great day.

Sunday service started with a Great hymn “My Redeemer” and then on to “Amazing Love”. Both are wonderful songs. The ladies choir sang “The Wonderful Cross” and did a great job. Kenny sang “Because He Loved me” and Pastor Harmon sang “Ship Ahoy”. Then a special “There is a Redeemer”.
I want to say thanks you to wonderful ladies for all the hard work that you have put into making the Ladies choir so great. This Easter Sunday we will be singing “The Next Time He Comes”. Practice is tonight at 7.

Blessings

Filed under: Uncategorized — brendabeckner @ 10:32 am

Today, I am counting my blessings.

I woke up this morning and as I was starting my car, I found myself grumbling about the cold.  I was even talking out loud (As I often do) and telling God that I couldn’t wait until summer, and it was so cold outside, and I was tired of the cold,  blah blah blah.  God wonderfully reminded me that instead of grumbling about the cold, I should be thanking him for another day.  So as I was walking back up the deck, (still talking outloud), I was very thankful for the day and that I was able to walk to my car to go to work and that my family was inside, healthy and happy, so I really didn’t have too much to complain about.  Sometimes God has to remind us of all of our blessings so that we don’t grumble about the little things that really don’t matter.  So today, I am going to try all day not to gripe but to be thankful for all of my blessings (and they are numerous).

miriam-wheeler.jpg

We had a n extra special blessing yesterday when we had missionary Miriam Wheeler with us for both services. Dr. wheeler gave us a little insight into her ministry in the Ukraine. God has opened up doors for her that would not have been for others because of her training as a medical doctor. We were also blessed with a couple of songs by Dr. Wheeler.

Our message on witnessing continued too. A reminder that our mission field is the house next door to us. Some great music, “Trust and Obey” and “Here I am to worship” started us out. Then, I must say that the ladies ensemble did an amazing job on “Shout to the Lord”. I am so thankful for these ladies who give up every Monday night to come out and practice. Julia did a beautiful job on “Voice of Truth”. I would also like to say a big thanks to Alex who has been helping with the music by playing the ecectric guitar. It adds so much and that boy is loaded with talent.

Remember ladies, we will have practice tonight and the ladies fellowship is tomorrow night. We look forward to seeing you there.
