Mother’s Day Review
Here are just a few highlights of the Mother’s Day activities we enjoyed over the past few days.
Sunday we had an amazing service honoring the mothers as well as all the women of Mt. Jackson. Then Tuesday night we enjoyed some wonderful food and fellowship with the ladies of our church. You can see all the pictures by clicking the “church photos” link on this page.

Prayer
In our ladies SS class we have been studying the “Prayer of Jabez”.  Our ladies have been really excited about this and are moving forward with a commmittment to pray this prayer daily with the utmost sincerety.  On Sunday morning when I mentioned this, I also asked that our church pray daily for our Pastor and his wife and family. I am very serious about this and again want to mention it. I know the giants I face on a daily basis, I can only imagine the ones the devil tries to throw at them being the Flock leader. Please, lets commit to praying for them and I believe that we will keep evil from them and in return, God will bless their efforts as well as our Church to be bigger and better for Christ than it has ever been. Â

Sunday, May 4th

Yesterday we started a new series called “The Jonah Series,” and heard a wonderful message about surrender. We will take a break from this series next week since it is Mother’s Day.
The ladies did a great job on “Shout to the Lord”, Julia sang “Praise You in this Storm”, and we had a special treat when Alex and Kayla sang “Surrender”. Kenny, Ronnie and Drema also did an amazing Job on “Thanks to Calv’ry”.
To all you who sacrifice your time and give of you talents, thank you so much.

Sunday Service
I haven’t been on the computer in a while so I haven’t done a good job at posting some things, however; today, I had some things at home to do so I thought I would drop a line or two. I am so looking forward to the service tomorrow.  We practiced last night in preparation for Sunday and as always, it is well-planned. I have been praying in my thoughts today that we will open our hearts so that God will pour out his blessings on us.Â
Ladies, don’t forget about the second part of our Sunday School class tomorrow. I look forward to seeing you there. Â
