Here are just a few highlights of the Mother’s Day activities we enjoyed over the past few days.
Sunday we had an amazing service honoring the mothers as well as all the women of Mt. Jackson. Then Tuesday night we enjoyed some wonderful food and fellowship with the ladies of our church. You can see all the pictures by clicking the “church photos” link on this page.

I just wanted to say that everyone looked so beautiful. I wanted so much to come and spend some time with you but didn’t have the heart to do so. This is the first Mother’s Day without my Mom and although I have peace in my heart regarding her new home with Jesus, it doesn’t make my hurt from missing her any less. You all may not know this but of the 40 years I have lived on this earth, I have never missed a day speaking with my Mother. Evening times are very difficult. I just wanted to share a few words about my Mom because she was a great Mom with a hard life. My expert advisor, my friend, my worrier, the one I know who prayed for me daily is now gone and my life has a big void. I didn’t want to spoil your times by being a stick in the mud. The pictures are beautiful.
