First, let me say it was so nice to see several visiting families with us yesterday. I hope they enjoyed worshiping with our church family. Also, what a blessing to have Pastor Harmon back with us and we were so thrilled to have him preach after his illness.
A first yesterday was Coach Cox singing in the men’s quartet. Many of you commented on how much you enjoyed it and that you had never heard him sing before. Yes, I think he has been holding out on us. We look forward to hearing much more from him.
Don’t forget to invite others to come to church with you. We want everyone to know what a good thing we have going on at Mt. Jackson.
Just wanted to remind you that Ladies Fellowship is tonight at 7:00pm.Â

Continue to pray for our Church growth.
Several people of my church family have heard me talk about this just this past week and probably a few of them are a little tired of me talking about it. But, honestly, it was so good I just had to share it here because I am not sure if people realize this, or maybe don’t consider it a danger area. That being said, I wll tell you that last Sunday morning I was listening to Dr. David Jeramiah while getting ready for church and he was talking about making bargain’s with God. You know, “God I will do this if you do this” and it really drove home with me. I know I have done it before and I think at times we do it without realizing it. Well, I am paying attention now. He was talking about that God doesn’t expect us to make bargain’s; however, if we do he expects us to keep our end of it and that there is punishment if we don’t. I won’t go into much detail but I just wanted you all to know that if you bargain with God, you better keep your end of the deal or don’t do it at all. I have thought of people who I know have done this and it is scary. Do the research because it was worth it. It actually struck a nerve so deep that I spoke with Pastor Charley and Phyllis about it briefly and they too had the same views which drove it home even more to me.Â
While on the subject of our Pastor, His sermon Sunday was great and on Sunday night, I really learned something I had never heard before about the ten commandments. It was knowledge that you just don’t get in your daily devotions. It was about how the Protestants, the Catholics and the Jewish people view the Ten Commandments. It was very thought provoking.Â
Please continue to pray for our Pastor and his family daily.Â
Tomorrow I will post on some reminders of upcoming events.Â
