Well we went with plan C yesterday in the service. Hopefully you didn’t notice but we had a lot of things go wrong. Two of the planned specials did not work out but in the end all was well. You cannot go wrong when Pastor Harmon sings “til the storm passes by” and that was really great. Then who would have thought that we would hear a Hank Williams song. But then, if you know Charley at all you weren’t surprised. Anyway, it was a great service as usual.
We continued our Heroes series with Abraham and again learned some interesting things about this awesome man.
Don’t forget we will be starting our “elevate” series for the kids Sunday night. This series is called “Heroes of Mega City”. If you know some one who might be interested be sure to invite them. I am so excited about it.
One more thing you may not have known is we had some one saved this morning. It was Felicia’s daughter Julieanne. We are so thrilled to hear that some else has come to know our Lord Jesus.
God bless all you father’s as you continue to lead your family in the ways of God. I am especially thankful for my own Dad who was a real Jewel to me. He was a precious man of God that I will always honor for his spiritual leadership in our home. I too am thankful for the man who is the father of my children. He has consistantly been a wonderful dad and an amazing husband who loves me in spite of my many faults. Here are some of our pictures and some from the Father’s Day service.
If you have not had the chance to brag on you husband or dad, it not too late. We’d love to hear it.
Good Morning everyone! I hope everyone had a good start to the work week.
Yesterday our heroes series continued with Mary. A lot of good stuff about her was brought out. Julia did a great job on the song “Mary Did You Know”. And what about that choir. Charley and I were talking this morning about what a good job they did. Then Brenda as usual did wonderful on her song “The Judgement”.
Speaking of Brenda, Friday was her birthday and Charley and I had the privilege of joining her for her birthday dinner at Chili’s, courtesy of Nancy and Gradie. A few pictures are here.
The teens spent the afternoon over at the church grilling hot dogs and were supposed to watch the race but had to resort to video games because the race had a rain delay. Thanks to James for the work he puts in to make sure those teens stay occupied.
I hope you all have a great week and don’t forget the new childrens church program coming soon to Sunday nights. Also, Bible school in about a month. We still need workers so let Donna know if you can help.
I pray everyone had a great weekend. We certainly did. It was again such a pleasure to be able to worship and serve with such a great group of people. You all make it possible for the services to take place.
We started our heroes series with the Apostle Peter. What a great example of a REAL hero. I am amazed as I learn about Peter. The fact that he failed God so many times and yet was so loved by our Lord Jesus. It should give us all hope since we do the same. And guess what? He still loves us. Wow!
The ladies will continue to study the book of Esther in SS. We are having a great time and I truly love the time we get to spend together. Thanks to all you ladies who are so faithful and have a real desire to know more about God’s Word.
Please don’t be afraid to use the comment section. It really is easy. Just type in the comment and click on the “say it” box. Can’t wait to hear from you.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday weekend. Our trip to the Cascades was great. What a beautiful place. Bob and Jeanne were our “tour Guides’ for the trip and they did a great job. Even if Brenda did accuse Bob of trying to “kill her”. To see pictures go here
We want to go ahead and let you know about the VBS for this Summer. The dates will be July 15-19. We will be having the Ramseys come this year to do our Bible School for us. We would like to be able to provide food for them while they are here. So, we are asking everyone to pick up a gift card the next time you are out to eat. They like Bob Evans, Ryans, and Cracker Barrel. If you get one, just drop it into the offering plate in the next few weeks and we willl know what it is for. Any that are left will be used for missionaries, and visiting preachers that come by.
Sunday we celebrated those who served in our military. Especially those who gave their lives. Thanks to all who made this wonderful service possible.
What a privilege to be able to work with such a wonderful group of people. We are so thankful to all of you who do a part. That’s what makes everything work together smoothly.
I hope you all have a great week and don’t forget to check in everyday for something new. We love it when you comment so let’s hear from you this week.

We again had a wonderful time together this Sunday. We heard a great message called “It’s Different Nowâ€, with the song to go with it. Again the choir did a nice job on their song.
The highlight of the day however was the special singing by the Dibler family. They did a wonderful job on the music Sunday night. We would love to have them back again soon.
We pray everyone has a great week and don’t forget to leave your comments. We love to hear what you have to say.
What a great Mother’s Day service we had yesterday. It is so great to see how close some of you ladies are to your children. It was a good reminder of how important it is for us to take our job as mother very seriously. Even if our children are grown.
The pictures are ready so just click on the church photos link to the right of this page and it will take you to the Mother’s Day pictures. As always, we want to hear your comments on the service, the pictures, or anything you like. I hope everyone has a great week.
Good Morning Everyone,
I wanted to say a few “thank you’s” to some people for all the work that went into the service yesterday. First to Brenda for singing my favorite song (Everything to me). I know it was a lot of work but I loved it. Then to Meredith for playing for us and Nathan for the “technical stuff”.
We started off the service with ‘Revive us Again’ and ‘Send the Light’ in preparation for the message on giving. The message included a few unusual visual aids. Also, thanks to Betty for singing “I know who holds tomorrow”. She did a beautiful job. Also, pastor Harmon and Kenny for the excellent job on the solo’s.
Sunday night we had a special treat when Bill Bennet gave a presentation on his mission trip to Honduras.
Remember we love to hear what you have to say about the service so keep the comments coming. I pray you all have a great week.
What a great service we had yesterday. We started out with “Wonderful Words of Life”. Then Pastor Harmon sang “Til the Storm Passes By”. You cant get any better than that. We finished out with “Tell me the Story of Jesus” and “an ensemble special of “Just a little talk with Jesus”.
Pastor Charley then gave a wonderful message on the prodigal son. Thanks to all who volunteered in all areas. You all make the services possible.
We had Michelle’s baby shower Saturday and she got some wonderful gifts. We are so looking forward to that new baby boy.
Remember, we love to hear from you. Check back everyday for new posts and to read the comments of others.
Today, our family will be going over to Ella and Clendal Hill’s house to eat “Ramps” for the first time. Tomorrow I’ll let you know what we thought about them.
I hope you all have a wonderful week. Say a prayer for us and the church as we prepare for this next week. Pray that God will prepare the hearts of those that will be attending that service. We love you all.

Pastor Harmon preached a great message Sunday and he and Kenny Hall sang “Where could I go but to the Lord”. We are so blessed to have Pastor Harmon and the wisdom he brings to our church.
