Nothing Better than Family

Some of you know what it feels like to watch your child drive away knowing it will be months before you see them again. I will experience that again today. It is not an easy thing. I know I’m being selfish by wanting all my children to be close to me all the time but unfortunately, that can’t happen. Children grow up and go their own way. This is a reminder to us to enjoy the time we have with them. And to use the time we have with them to teach them to love God and others. I am so proud of all three of my children and wanted to share that fact with you. Above is a picture of a little family outing we had yesterday. What a blessing to have family and there’s nothing better than spending time with them.

You are so right Phylis, it is hard to let your children go. When Kim got married the first time she left for North Carolina on her wedding day. I thought my world had ended. Then 12 years later I got her back. God is so good. My son only left the state for a couple of years but I was just as glad to get him back. Enjoy Julia while you can, time will fly with her too. I value my friendship with my adult children.
