At this time of year, we celebrate motherhood. We honor our Moms for all that they have meant to us, what they have taught us, and the person we have become as a result of their example. I want to take just a minute to say that it is a privilege to be a mom. And not just any old mom but the mother of 3 very special children. If I could have searched the world over and chosen any 3 children, I would have chosen Nathan, James and Julia. Just so they know they are so very special to me and I am so proud of the people they have become.
So here’s your chance. Do you want to brag on your kids? Tell us what’s special to you about being a mother.
Being a mother….the greatest job I’ve ever had. First there’s Carol, my “step” who is a great mother herself. Home schooled my two wonderful granddaughters Gregan and Rachael to graduate college at age 16. Runs a Christian home and helps hubby in his construction business.
Then came Amy, the joy of my life. She is also a wonderful mother. Gave me my sweet Mitchell and precious Piper. I don’t get to see my wonderful family often, but talk or write to them every day. God has blessed me with these two loving ladies and I treasure both of them. I thank God for their families and the homes in which they are raising my grandchildren.

I speak for Nathan when I say that if he could have searched the world over, he could not have possibly found a better mother than Phyllis. Ladies, I have watched her and she is hands down one of the best moms I have seen (besides my own
I think the world of you, Phyllis! Happy Mother’s Day!

Well, I too am very thankful to God that he allowed me the opportunity to be Jaime’s mom. Although, I have to admit that I don’t always feel like I am a great Mom. I sometimes think I stink at it but I sure do enjoy it. Jaime is an only child and somewhat spoiled but is so precious. He has a heart of Gold and I think what I am the most proud of is his selflessness to others. He is the child that will share his meals, his money, his entertainment and his time with others. Sometimes, i am concerned that people will take advantage of him for it in the future. I can’t help but to bragg on that because it makes me so proud. Again, I am so thankful to be his Mom and nothing he can say or do would ever make me love him less or turn my back on him. I sometime hear Mom’s say that if their child did this or become that or another, then they could not forgive them or be a part of their lives. I can say that I will never turn my back on my child and no matter what he has a safe haven in me.
Thanks ladies for listening about my child. If you don’t know him a little deeper than the surface, your missing out on a blessing. Betty is always wonderful to let Jaime know how much she loves him and I thank anyone who pays attention to our children because they do deserve to be heard and listen to.
Some people think I am crazy when I say, that I DAILY pray for Jaime’s protection, convictions, his future and his future wife and have since the day I found out he was coming. We have to plead the blood of Jesus around our children daily.
