I will repeat a phrase that has helped me when I argue with someone–”we can disagree without being disagreeable”. Thats what real friends do!

I have had this come across my e-mail as well and it has so many true statements. Arguements sure can seperate people and I have never understood why people would want for everyone to agree on everything. What a boring world we would have. I would also like to say that because two people disagree on the same topic doesn’t mean that either is wrong. People become so confident that their way is the right way and they don’t realize how small minded they appear to others. I have to say that i get frustrated with people when they are so bold to think that they have ALL the answers and will not accept that there are different ideas leading to the same concept.
I can honestly say that I am proud that Myself and two of my sisters, Joan and Pam, have always been able to agree to disagree. All three of us has had heated discussions but when all is said and done we walk away saying, Love ya, and often times will discuss our heated discussions. We three are so much alike but yet so different. Isn’t personalities grand?

Actually that one jumped out at me too as I was reading through. “I believe that just because two people argue, it doesn’t mean they don’t love each other.” Coming from one who gets very paranoid after arguments that the other person is still mad, or that they don’t like me as much anymore, I do love knowing that no matter if we disagree, or if we argue, there is still love. I’ve been blessed to have so many people in my life like this.
Also, this one, “I believe that heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences”, reminded me of the upcoming July 4th. I’m so thankful for those in our country who do and did what had to be done, regardless of the consequences!

Let me go ahead and start it off by commenting on this one…

I strongly believe that no two people will ever agree on everything. Once we accept that fact it is much easier to control our attitudes when we have verbal disagreements. Then we can learn from each other and walk away with respect for another’s opinion. Not in anger as so many do.
