Mother’s Day (part 2)
Posted by Phyllis Rice on May 11th, 2007 filed in UncategorizedYesterday our post was mostly about what is special about being a mother. Today lets talk about what’s so special about your mother. If you missed out on yesterday, go ahead and do that one too.
I hope you all have a great mothers day. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to tell us how great your Mom is or how great your children and grandchildren are.
Let’s hear from you guys too!

Speaking of Mother’s Day, Tammy just called and said Michelle and Travis have a new baby boy born at 9:15 this morning. His name is Luke Andrew Shorter. He weighed 7 lbs. and 10 1/2 oz. He is 21 1/2 inches long with a head full of brown hair.
Congratulations to the mom, dad, and little brother Mason.

I have the kind of mother who is a great listener! When I was a child, I would talk on and on for what seemed like hours. And she’d listen. I think back now and I know she could not have been that interested in me dreaming about Spiderman or Superman or whatever. She probably went about her work while I talked and never interrupted me. She just listened. I don’t even know that she heard all the things I said. But she listened. While my impressionable mind was molding itself into ideas and dreams, she listened! Wow!

I love my Mom very much. I know she has had a very hard life from her early childhood throughout her adult life. I don’t know that I can talk about her in such a short paragraph because she is so many different things wrapped in one package. I do know for sure that I love her very much and I am thankful that God allowed her to be my Mom. I know one day she will be tremendously rewarded for putting up with me and my 6 brothers and sisters.
