I love my Mom very much. I know she has had a very hard life from her early childhood throughout her adult life. I don't know that I can talk about her in such a short paragraph because she is so many different things wrapped in one package. I do know for sure that I love her very much and I am thankful that God allowed her to be my Mom. I know one day she will be tremendously rewarded for putting up with me and my 6 brothers and sisters.

I have the kind of mother who is a great listener! When I was a child, I would talk on and on for what seemed like hours. And she'd listen. I think back now and I know she could not have been that interested in me dreaming about Spiderman or Superman or whatever. She probably went about her work while I talked and never interrupted me. She just listened. I don't even know that she heard all the things I said. But she listened. While my impressionable mind was molding itself into ideas and dreams, she listened! Wow!

Speaking of Mother's Day, Tammy just called and said Michelle and Travis have a new baby boy born at 9:15 this morning. His name is Luke Andrew Shorter. He weighed 7 lbs. and 10 1/2 oz. He is 21 1/2 inches long with a head full of brown hair.
Congratulations to the mom, dad, and little brother Mason.
