Seasons

Today is more of a personal message rather than church related; however, who better to call on then my church family when my heart is heavy.   As many of you know, my boss (Sandra Wright-47 yrs old) was diagnosed with cancer and has been very ill.  We as a facility have been limited in what support we can give to her and her family because she is in Pittsburgh.  Today, we received the call that she is in the season of change in her life and they do not expect her to live beyond today.   It reminds of me of Pastor John’s message again, There is a time to die.   She has two children 16 and 7.  Please pray her husband, Russ and their two children.

Because Season’s change, take today and make the most of it.  Kiss your husband/wife and tell them you love them.  Hug your kids regardless of how mad you are at them.  Take time to eat dinner at the table and talk.  Tell your friends that you love them and are there for them when times get hard.    Turn the TV off and together count your blessings as a family and talk about what Jesus has done for you.  Life is precious and it slips away so quickly.  Most of all, if you haven’t accepted Jesus as your Savior, today is the best day to trust in him.  Your life will never be the same.

That is so true about seasons, Brenda. As we age, we go through different things at different times, and sometimes in different ways, sometimes in the same way. But, there is one thing that we will all have to face one day, and that is death. Whether we are young or old, sick or well, strong or weak, rich or poor, we will some day meet the Lord. And what we have done with Jesus Christ will determine whether we are to be allowed to stay in heaven with Christ or to be cast into outer darkness.
I love you girl, and I will pray for your friend and her family. It will be hard on them.

As we enter this Thanksgiving season, be Thankful for what the Lord has allowed you to have, even if it is the air you breathe.

MY boss and friend passed away yesterday 11/15/07. She leaves behind a husband, two children, a mother, and two sisters. Pray for them.
