Phyllis, That is so great to hear. Unfortunately, the church that I grew up in did have the above philosophy so until I got a little older, I don't have many memories of mentors. I guess I could say my parents had the biggest impact on my life and the course that it took. I know that my son will have many influences in his life that I didn't have. I hope that when I stand before God, that this is one area that I won't fall so short on.

Some of the people who had the most influence on me was my SS teachers. As I look back, very few of them were young. In fact, I can't think of a single one that was young. They were all older and they were great. The things they taught me are the things that I have never forgotton. What a privilege I had to be taught by those whose knew they still had a lot to give.
